Hound Performance Studio
Studio Rules and Safety Policy
Effective date: 20 July 2026
These rules apply to every person who enters or uses Hound Performance Studio.
1. Core standard
Use the Studio safely, responsibly and respectfully. The Studio is a private performance training space, not a public gym.
2. Booking and timekeeping
- Book before attending.
- Attend only during the booked time.
- Cancel promptly if you will not attend.
- Do not overstay or prevent another authorised booking from starting.
- Keep the number of attendees within the permitted booking and capacity.
3. Equipment use
- Use equipment only for its intended purpose and only if you understand how to use it safely.
- Inspect equipment before use. Do not use equipment that is damaged, unstable, incorrectly assembled or unsafe.
- Use collars, clips, safety arms, catches, straps, spotters and other safety measures where appropriate.
- Select loads that you can control. Do not attempt unsafe maximum lifts or movements beyond your ability.
- Drop weights only where the equipment, flooring and training area are designed for it. Never throw equipment.
- Do not modify, move, dismantle or repair fixed equipment without permission.
- Return weights and accessories to their proper place after use.
4. Free weights and lifting alone
When training alone, use rack safeties and equipment settings that allow you to end the lift safely. Avoid exercises where a failed repetition could trap you unless suitable safety measures are in place.
A training partner or spotter does not remove your responsibility to use a suitable load and safe technique.
5. Clothing and footwear
- Wear clothing suitable for the activity and footwear that is clean, secure and appropriate for the surface.
- Do not wear muddy, wet or unsafe footwear.
- Barefoot training is permitted only where the activity and area are suitable and the Company has not prohibited it.
- Remove jewellery or loose items where they may catch in equipment or create a risk.
6. Cleanliness and hygiene
- Wipe down equipment and mats after use where cleaning materials are provided.
- Return weights, bands, mats and accessories neatly.
- Dispose of rubbish and do not leave bottles, towels or personal items behind.
- Do not attend with a contagious illness or where your condition creates an avoidable hygiene risk to others.
- Cover open cuts and clean any bodily fluid contamination immediately if safe to do so, then notify the Company.
7. Behaviour and respect

- Aggressive, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intimidating or antisocial behaviour is prohibited.
- Keep noise at a reasonable level, particularly where it affects other users or neighbouring premises.
- Do not film, photograph or record another person without their clear permission.
- Do not use the Studio for unauthorised commercial activity, classes, events, content production or client sessions.

The supervising Member or professional is responsible for the conduct and safety of the person they bring.
11. Personal belongings and storage
Keep belongings clear of walkways, exits, equipment and training areas. Do not leave property at the Studio after your booking.
The Company may move items that create a hazard or obstruct operations.
12. Fire, emergency and evacuation
- Keep fire exits and escape routes clear.
- Do not interfere with alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting or fire doors.
- If an alarm sounds or an emergency requires evacuation, stop training, leave by the safest available exit and do not re-enter until authorised.
- Call 999 where there is an immediate risk to life, serious injury, fire or crime in progress.
13. Injuries, incidents and faults
Stop training if you feel unwell or injured. Report accidents, injuries, near misses, hazards, damage and equipment faults to the Company promptly.
Do not continue to use an item after reporting it as unsafe. Where possible, make others aware that it should not be used.
14. CCTV and security
Do not cover, move, damage, disconnect or interfere with cameras, locks, alarms or access systems. CCTV operates for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Closing the Studio
When leaving, return equipment, remove personal items, switch off any equipment you used where required, close windows if applicable and ensure the entrance is secure.
16. Breach of the rules
A breach may result in a warning, immediate removal, suspension, termination, refusal of future access or recovery of reasonable costs. Serious safety or security breaches may result in immediate action.
